Application for Lead Business Innovation

Dear Mr Meier

I am applying for the Lead Business Innovation role, and I will start with the part that will be on your mind. I do not have a master's in a technical field and I have never worked in energy. My degrees are a BBA and a CAS in Innovation, and my industries have been insurance, retail, e-commerce, health and postal services.

What I bring instead is ten years of taking new business models from idea to market inside established companies. At Die Mobiliar I took three market pilots from MVP to launch and then operated them, one of which is now BOND Mobility. At Sparrow Ventures I built go-to-market for internal startups, and in the founding team at WePractice we closed two funding rounds and grew to ten locations and 23 people. At Ifolor I owned the e-commerce ecosystem of a CHF 100M+ business, reporting to C-level, and lifted conversion by 9%. Since January I lead AI-driven business models at Swiss Post, from opportunity sizing to a roadmap with KPIs that an executive board can fund.

Rather than describe how I would run your radar sessions in the abstract, I put it online at ramona-weidmann.pages.dev: how I find opportunities, how I size them into a number a CFO recognises, and how I decide, with the kill rule agreed before the test runs. The last step is worked through on a real question in your business, including the risk that would stop me.

The facts in it come from what Weidmann has put in public. I would enjoy being told where I have read them wrong, because that conversation is the job.

Rapperswil is 35 kilometres from where I live, I am a Swiss citizen and I am available with notice. I would welcome the chance to talk before Cigre.

Kind regards

Ramona Furter
